The
HERO Products Group, a division of I.C.T.C. Holdings
of Vancouver British Columbia, has agreed to acquire
the assets of Highlands paint products; HERO had
been distributing Highland products in Canada since
1993. This longstanding agreement was forged on a handshake
and continued favorably for both parties during the
past 13 years. During that time, HERO created a large
installed base of Highland produced products, and experienced
only very minor service issues. This relationship spawned
many longstanding business relationships with several
major paint companies and retailers in Canada and abroad.
In
my view, says Steve Balmer, President of I.C.T.C., the
Highland products speak volumes about quality, simplicity
and address many current paint store requirements. Highland
has a strong following of dealers and their products
are very complementary to the HERO Products Groups
current offering of paint equipment.Highland
has an installed base of well in excess of 10,000 pieces
of equipment, many of which have been in service for
decades. The product range consists of manual colorant
dispensing machines, semi-automatic colorant dispensers
and automatic colorant dispensers, mixers, shakers and
industrial mixing devices. This line blends well into
the HERO line of manuals, automatics, mixers and shakers,
placing I.C.T.C. Holdings as a leader with respect to
sales and product range depth domestically. The
Highland products will be marketed under the Highland
by HERO identification, and will continue to be
produced in Ashland, Massachusetts. I.C.T.C.
Holdings Corporation is on an aggressive expansion plan
to form a comprehensive line of paint equipment products
for the global paint industry.
